“No one has ever become poor by giving.” -Anne Frank
Children say the darnedest things and sometimes they say things that are so profound, it makes you shake your head in awe. This is captured hauntingly by this quote from Anne Frank, a teenager whose observations on human nature has reverberated through the decades.
The holiday season is a time for us to count our blessings and to reflect on how we can become a better person next year. Unfortunately, there are members of our group who have hit upon rough times. Whether it was due to health, personal, or business issues, it can happen to any of us. No one is immune to a time where we hit a bad patch in life and are struggling to stay afloat long enough to find that life raft that will rescue us and allow us to recover and continue on with life.
Everyone needs a helping hand sometime in his/her life.
That is why we are continuing the Spirit of Giving this year. I encourage our Nifty Thrifty members to please contribute to this cause. If you have a service you can donate or even monetary donations are welcome, we will select colleagues who are most in need and attempt to make their upcoming year much brighter!
Happy Holidays to you and I hope you will join me in making it happier and brighter for some our colleagues!
